Saturday, Aug. 26 is Women’s Equality Day, honoring the 97th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, which secured women’s right to vote.
This Women’s Equality Day, join AAUW and the Newseum to reflect on the past while championing justice today. Activities will include:
- Suffragist button and sash-making stations
- Outdoor exhibit on women’s suffrage
- Interactive Polaroid photo booth
- “Take action” station
- Discount on AAUW membership.
