Young Women’s Financial Wellness Forum

On December 11, 2024, Seneca Women returned to the New York Stock Exchange in partnership with P&G to celebrate the US Mint’s Harriet Tubman coin and to showcase engaging conversations with financial experts discussing what every young woman needs to know about financial wellness. Young women from New York-area schools and organizations, as well as women leaders, participated in the Forum. We were back in Davos, for our eighth annual Seneca Women Breakfast @ Davos, held during the World Economic Forum. The theme: The State of Women in 2024. We discussed that issue with three renowned women leaders, whose answers were inspiring and motivating. We heard from The Right Honorable Helen Clark, former Prime Minister of New Zealand and former Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme, who told what we all can do to help women make progress worldwide; designer and philanthropist Diane von Furstenberg, who talked about The Power of Words; and Sheri Bronstein, Chief Human Resources Officer, Bank of America, who discussed the state of women’s health, and told why everyone benefits when women get the health care and support they need.

On October 24, 2023, MIT Media Lab and Seneca Women hosted the Women’s Health, AI & Innovation Forum. The event featured conversations with renowned women scientists from the MIT Media Lab and provided an inside look at the breakthroughs in technology and AI that are transforming the future of women’s health and impacting lives around the world. 


The Forum was co-hosted by Dava Newman, Director of the MIT Media Lab, and Kim Azzarelli, co-founder of Seneca Women and Executive-in-Residence at the MIT Media Lab. Listeners heard from U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor; fashion designer and philanthropist Diane von Furstenberg; UN Women executive director Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka; Grameen America CEO Andrea Jung; Stewart Schwab, faculty director for the Cornell Center for Women and Justice; and Dr. Denis Mukwege, founder of Panzi Hospital, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he is repairing the lives of thousands of women who were subjected to brutal violence. The Forum’s speakers were interviewed by Seneca Women co-founders Melanne Verveer and Kim Azzarelli.
