Seneca Women’s annual Breakfast at Davos, held during the World Economic Forum, featured inspiring speakers discussing “The State of Women 2025.” Speakers included: Sanna Marin, former Prime Minister of Finland and now strategic counselor at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change; Wendy Stewart, President of Global Commercial Banking for Bank of America; Bea Perez, EVP and Global Chief Communications, Sustainability & Strategic Partnerships Officer for The Coca‐Cola Company; Dr. Joan LaRovere, co-founder and president of Virtue Foundation, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Harvard Medical School and Associate Chief Medical Officer for Transformation, Boston Children’s Hospital; and Rob Reed, Global Director, University and Nonprofit Programs for Databricks.

On December 11, 2024, Seneca Women returned to the New York Stock Exchange in partnership with P&G to celebrate the US Mint’s Harriet Tubman coin and to showcase engaging conversations with financial experts discussing what every young woman needs to know about financial wellness. Young women from New York-area schools and organizations, as well as women leaders, participated in the Forum. Speakers included Ventris Gibson, Director of the US Mint; Woodrow Keown, president and COO, National Underground Railroad Freedom Center; Sharon Bowen, Chair, NYSE, Partner, Seneca Women; and financial experts Marsha Barnes and Carmen Perez.

On October 24, 2023, MIT Media Lab and Seneca Women hosted the Women’s Health, AI & Innovation Forum. The event featured conversations with renowned women scientists from the MIT Media Lab and provided an inside look at the breakthroughs in technology and AI that are transforming the future of women’s health and impacting lives around the world. 

The Forum was co-hosted by Dava Newman, Director of the MIT Media Lab, and Kim Azzarelli, co-founder of Seneca Women and Executive-in-Residence at the MIT Media Lab. Seneca's Kim Azzarelli led a workshop for young women on how to design an app prototype at Apple's flagship New York City store, as part of the "Today at Apple" series. Members of Fast Forward Girls clubs and the high school organization Legal Outreach head Kim speak about how Seneca Women developed an app and a podcast—and how they, too, could create their own purpose-driven tech projects.

Seneca Women’s Sharon Bowen, former Commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, was a featured speaker at Bloomberg’s Sooner Than You Think summit, which explored the technology transforming the global economy and shaping the very near future. Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, Madeleine Albright and other notable speakers join an audience of leaders from the realms of business, government and philanthropy at Seneca Women’s annual Fast Forward Women’s Innovation Forum at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium in New York City. The Forum consists of an afternoon of conversation about power, purpose and innovating through technology to design our future.

On June 14, young leaders from New York City clubs took part in the yearly Fast Forward Girls workshop where they planned social media strategies and club expansion and began assisting in preparations for the fourth annual Seneca Women Innovation Forum, to be held at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art on September 29.

Kim Azzarelli talked with Esther Hare, Apple’s Senior Director of Worldwide Developer Marketing, about the new myths that are holding women back in the workplace. Their conversation took place during a Women@WWDC Breakfast, part of the 29th annual Apple Worldwide Developers Conference.

Seneca Women partnered with Bloomberg to present the Bloomberg Business of Equality Summit, where scores of speakers—CEOs and executives like Chamath Palihapitiya, CEO of VC firm Social Capital and Deborah Wright, former chairman at Carver Bancorp; nonprofit leaders like Andrea Jung, Alicia Garza and Cristina Jimenez; and high-profile names including Katie Couric, Chelsea Clinton, Diane von Furstenberg and Ashley Judd—proposed ways to move the needle toward parity. The message that came through loud and clear was that diversity is good both for companies and individuals. 

Sponsored by Procter & Gamble, the half-day #WeSeeEqual Forum kicked off Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day 2018 and highlighted ways we can all create a more gender-equal world.  Speakers included Katie Couric, executives from State Street Advisors and Microsoft, and leaders from P&G including Carolyn Tastad, Group President, North America, P&G, and Deanna Bass, Director of Global Diversity and Inclusion at P&G.

At Seneca Women's Conversation with Justice Sonia Sotomayor, Fast Forward Girls club leader Hannah Oblak interviewed the Justice on her background, perspective and finding purpose and passion in life. Among the attendees were more than 50 girls from 15 different area high schools; the Justice also took questions from them. The event was hosted in conjunction with iCivics, a non-profit founded by Sandra Day O'Connor to engage children in civics through online games and Virtue Foundation.

For the second year in a row, Seneca Women hosted the Fast Forward Women’s Innovation Forum at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The event brought together leaders like Chelsea Clinton, Nobel Prize laureate Muhammad Yunus, designer and philanthropist Diane von Furstenberg, Grameen America CEO Andrea Jung, P&G’s Group President for North America Carolyn Tastad and Mary Robinson, the former president of Ireland. Also featured: the leaders and members of Girl Scout Troop 6000, created for homeless girls in New York City.

In celebration of International Women's Day, Ambassador Melanne Verveer and Kim Azzarelli led a discussion and workshop on the principles of Fast Forward: How Women Can Achieve Power and Purpose at Coca-Cola headquarters in Atlanta. The event also showcased public-private partnerships and other initiatives that enable women to use their power for purpose, as well as panel discussions with Coca-Cola leaders.

As a prelude to International Women's Day, Ambassador Melanne Verveer and Kim Azzarelli hosted a conversation with Diane von Furstenberg about how to Fast Forward women and girls in this moment.The event was held at the DVF Studio in NYC and was followed by a networking reception.
